Note: Lane Balance Systems operated under the name AIMS Express from 2004 To 2007. The new Freightliners will be used for AIMS' dedicated routes in Denver and Fayetteville, N.C., as well as local routes throughout the Memphis area. "The trucks will increase AIMS Express' margins," says AIMS Express president Jeff Owen. "The new trucks will provide stability, including lower maintenance costs and a reduced number of breakdowns." Penske's full-service maintenance guarantee will allow AIMS Express to serve clients in a more efficient manner, he says. The addition of the new Penske vehicles brings the AIMS fleet to 80 trucks. AIMS Express, a division of Memphis-based AIMS Logistics, provides truckload, dedicated truckload, intermodal and truckload brokerage services. The company also develops solutions for unique truckload challenges. Penske Truck Leasing, one of the largest transportation services companies in North America, has provided transportation services for more than 30 years.
