In the Spirit of Giving

Lane Balance Systems has seen great success throughout the company’s nearly ten-year existence, and the truckload management firm feels strongly about their corporate responsibility to share good fortune with others. The spirit of philanthropy is deeply embedded in the culture at Lane Balance, and not just during the holidays. Over the years, Lane Balance has lent support to countless organizations within its community and beyond.

Lane Balance recognizes the extreme importance of the supporting the education of our youth, and contributes regularly to local elementary, secondary, and higher education places of learning. The contributions do not stop in the classroom. A former University of Tennessee baseball player himself, Lane Balance president, Jeff Owen, has a soft spot in his heart for student athletic programs. The Christian Brothers University baseball team has benefited greatly over the years, with Lane Balance funding significant improvements to its playing fields and complex. Lane Balance Systems is also a consistent supporter of the Germantown Youth Athletic Association’s competitive baseball program.

Another local, yet very important benefactor is Page Robbins Adult Day Facility – a non-profit organization that offers a daytime program for adults with impairments such as Alzheimer’s Disease, vascular dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke-related memory loss, and mild cognitive impairment. The center provides the care and attention these individuals require, while offering much needed respite and support to families and caregivers.

On a national level, Lane Balance Systems is committed to an annual contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, with the hope of helping to create a bright future for a healthy world. Also a national benefactor is the National Transplant Assistance Fund – an association to raise funds for critical medical expenses related to transplantation and catastrophic injury.

The Lane Balance Systems team incorporates their community spirit into every-day operations. “It’s the actions of individuals working together that build strong communities,” says Jeff Owen. “We’re extremely proud of our commitment to support our local community and national organizations not only during the holiday season, but throughout the year.”
